Job Summary:

The role of a Finance Assistant in Accounts and Payroll is a dynamic and crucial position within any organization. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing support to the accounting and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase and sales ledgers, conduct bank reconciliations, and generate debtor reports
  • Assist with month-end closures, create detailed financial reports, and prepare monthly payroll
  • Handle quarterly VAT returns and maintain accurate financial records
  • Provide support to the accounting and payroll teams, ensuring seamless financial operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of accountancy experience, preferably with AAT Qualification at Level 2 or above
  • Experience with payroll processes, including SAP and Sage Payroll systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
