Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Youth Justice Officer to join our team at West Mercia Police. As a key member of our youth justice service, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of youth justice in our communities.

About the Role

The Youth Justice Officer will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people who have been involved in the youth justice system. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to co-ordinate high-quality delivery of direct work with young people, their families, and victims of youth crime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of young people and their families, providing support and guidance to help them achieve positive outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of youth justice services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including young people, their families, and community groups.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of youth justice policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
