About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Coach, Mentor and Development Officer to lead and oversee the delivery of our sports programme in the identified area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the delivery and growth of the sports programme in the identified area
  • Managing and supporting a team of coaches
  • Delivering sport and mentoring sessions as a leader of the coaching team
  • Working with our CEO and other coaches and development officers to improve and grow the sports programme

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sports programmes to meet the needs of children and young people
  • Manage and support a team of coaches to deliver high-quality sports sessions
  • Build relationships with schools and community partners to promote the sports programme
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the sports programme

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Experience:
    • Sport Coaching qualification with a recognised National Governing Body
    • Experience coaching in schools and/or community programmes
    • Experience of or interest in mentoring/helping children and young people
  • Other:
    • Access to a car and current UK driving licence
    • Appointed persons 1st aid
    • Satisfactory DBS
    • Excellent communicator
    • Personal organisation and admin skills
    • Experience of youth work, working with vulnerable children/young people, working with children with special educational needs
    • Mentoring training and experience
