Health and Safety Compliance Officer

The University of South Wales is a vibrant and dynamic institution nestled in the beautiful South Wales valleys. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estates and Facilities Health and Safety Compliance Officer to join our Property Services team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting an active health and safety culture within the Estates and Facilities department, ensuring statutory compliance and providing professional guidance and support to managers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor health and safety performance of the department and advise on control measures
- Provide guidance and support to the compliance administrator to ensure legislative compliance
- Collaborate with the Property Services team to identify and implement health and safety improvements
- Develop and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience in health and safety compliance and risk management
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
