We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Operations Manager to join our team at Cameron Pink. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a diverse team of sales and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the activities of the BDM, Client, and Operational Teams, reviewing progress through the Performance Management Evaluation process.
- Schedule sales meetings with Branch Sales Representatives to guide and share market information.
- Manage and oversee the branch budget and profit and loss accounts.
- Act as a key account manager for National accounts within your Branch, attending sales meetings with Business Development Managers.
- Develop and implement a Strategic Business Approach for the Branch.
- Maintain existing accounts and increase sales of all products.
- Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees in your Branch.
- Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions of all staff within your Branch.
- Contribute to strategic plans by providing Branch sales information and recommendations.
- Interpret National action plans into your territory.
- Enforce policies and procedures set by the Company.
- Meet Branch sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Establish, maintain, and expand your customer base.
- Servicing the needs of your existing customers while focusing on new business to grow the area.
- Set sales targets for individual members of the team and the team as a whole to aid overall Branch performance.
- Build and maintain rapport with key customers, identifying new customer opportunities.
- Recruit and train staff alongside Human Resources to ensure all staff are recruited and trained in line with the Company's people agenda.
- Allocate areas to sales people to ensure the area is covered and a sustainable amount of new business is won.
- Monitor your team's performance and motivate them to reach targets with regular 1:1 and performance reviews.
- Compile and analyse sales figures and report figures weekly to the Operations Director.
- Collect customer feedback and market research from key stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with products and competitors within the industry to ensure our products and services are competitive and current.
- Ensure all sales compliance processes within your Branch or area are adhered to at all times.
- Closely work with Company Legal Counsel to ensure legal compliance.
- Manage all day-to-day functions carried out at offices of the Branch.
Package:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000, a £5,700 car allowance, commission, discretionary bi-annual bonus, healthcare plan, contribution to gym membership, employee assistance programme, and pension.
