Job Purpose:

The role will provide expert HR advice and support to address people relationship issues within a portfolio or group of services. This will involve managing and supporting complex cases, large-scale organisational change, organisational development, workforce planning and resourcing, pay and reward, job evaluations, and learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on individual cases, settling disputes, and de-risking issues associated with people management.
  • Ensure service areas have people data and insight, research, and best practice information to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Support the management and strengthening of the council's relationship with its recognised Trade Unions, staff networks, and other partners and stakeholders.
  • Support the design and delivery of service-based people projects and People and Inclusion projects.
  • Support the development and implementation of people management policies and procedures, ensuring they are robust, relevant, and reflect a relational and restorative approach.
  • Detailed knowledge of professional HR practice and procedure, typically gained through a recognised professional qualification.
  • Experience working in a housing association or council.
Contract Details:

Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract, PAYE via Umbrella, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Hybrid Position).
