Job Summary

This role will support the people relationship issues of a portfolio or group of services, providing expert HR advice and guidance. The successful candidate will work in partnership with service areas to develop and maintain positive employee relationships, increasing engagement and creating a positive organisation culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on employment legislation and trends, including the management and support of complex cases, large-scale organisational change, and organisational development.
  • Ensure employment practices adopt inclusive, relational, and restorative approaches, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Support the management and strengthening of the council's relationship with its recognised Trade Unions, staff networks, and other partners and stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver service-based people projects and People and Inclusion projects, working in multidisciplinary teams across People and Inclusion and/or the wider organisation.
  • Develop and implement people management policies and procedures, ensuring they are robust, relevant, and reflect a relational and restorative approach.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience of employment legislation and trends is essential.
  • Experience of professional HR practice and procedure, with a collaborative approach and mutual trust and support within the council and with partners.
  • A recognised professional qualification, such as CIPD, is essential.
Working Arrangements

The role is hybrid, with an expectation of spending on average two days a week in Camden. The closing date for this position is 17th September 2024.
