About the Role

This Software Quality Assurance Engineer position involves supporting a program at a customer facility in Luton (Monday to Friday) and working closely with engineering teams and project teams across various products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure software development meets contracted and company standards by providing independent assurance support.
  • Develop and maintain software quality assurance plans in line with contractual conditions and company standards.
  • Evaluate subcontracted companies' ability to meet software development standards.
  • Review projects for compliance with software development plans and processes.
  • Collaborate in software lifecycle reviews.
  • Conduct software conformity reviews and physical/functional configuration audits.
  • Verify the release of deliverable software.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in software quality.
  • Background in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Defence Electronics.
  • Logical thinker with practical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment advantageous.
  • Familiarity with software standards RTCA/DO-178C, AS9115, and AQAP-2210 beneficial but not essential.
Security Clearance:
  • Must hold a UK National passport due to security restrictions.
  • Ideal candidate would have UK SC Level or above Security Clearance.
  • Ideal candidate should be located within commuting distance of Luton or willing to fund relocation costs.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around £55,000, considering industry standards and comparable positions in the UK.
