Morrison Energy Services is seeking a skilled High Voltage Cable Jointer to join our substation build team working on the UK Power Networks contract in Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities- Jointing and terminating of 11kV and 33kV cables onto High Voltage equipment
- Use and interpret manuals, asset standards, and technical information to assist with installations and remedial works
- Work in accordance with company and client safe systems of work and permit to work systems
- Adapt and respond to unforeseen events and act accordingly
- Plan and coordinate effectively without supervision
- Mentor and coach less experienced staff and apprentices in developing their knowledge and skills
- NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline or completed an approved Apprenticeship
- Full driver's license
- Act as a competent person to receive safety documentation
- Experience in terminating Inner Cone and T-Boot cable terminations
- Experience in installing Indoor / Outdoor Raychem 11kV/33kV terminations
- Experience in Jointing XLPE to XLPE / XLPE to PILC 11kV / 33kV cable Joints
- Experience in dressing and cleating above ground terminations
- 21 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holiday
