Community Mental Health Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our CAMHS team in Essex. As a Community Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and guidance to our multidisciplinary teams, working directly with children and young people with mental health needs, especially eating disorders, across Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, especially eating disorders, across Essex.
- Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
- Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
- Participate in the on-call rota with a frequency of 1:7, with a 2% of basic salary, Category B on-call supplement.
- Support your peers and team leader and be an effective team member while allowing them to work with their own initiative.
