About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Energy Analyst to join our team at Northern Gas and Power. As an Energy Analyst, you will play a key role in our flexible energy procurement operations, working closely with our trading and sales teams to deliver market-leading solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Input prices from suppliers for Flexible contracts and compile the price comparison document.
- Monitor customers' energy consumption analysis and reconcile trades conducted and supplier position reports.
- Create market reports and provide ad-hoc assistance to the trading team with daily, weekly, and monthly market reports.
- Support the account management and sales departments with market analysis and supplier performance data to include in new business and renewal proposals.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative external and internal relationships.
- Present information on energy markets to the trading, sales teams, and external clients.
Requirements
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables).
- Clear understanding and interest in the UK energy markets.
- Organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Highly numerate.
- A self-motivated starter and a team player.
