About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in Hewish. This role is part of our Infrastructure, Development and Delivery department, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering major new infrastructure across nuclear, cables, substations, overhead lines, and visual impact provisions.


The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Project Managers across Engineering, Procurement, and Commercial aspects of our projects. Their focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects in a challenging construction environment.


This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in commercial, contractual, and financial management throughout the project lifecycles. The candidate will also ensure compliance with National Grid's policies and procedures, monitor contractor activities, and support Project Quality Assurance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver cost-effective, efficient, and safe solutions in compliance with Construction Design & Management regulations and Safety Health, Environmental, Sustainability, and Quality considerations.
  • Conduct site assessments, support consenting and registration processes, estimate costs, mitigate risks, and foster innovation.
  • Produce project documentation, maintain governance, implement lessons learned, and adhere to best practices.
  • Manage project delivery, design, safety, commissioning, and post-completion requirements.

What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary of £70,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to this, we offer:

  • A £2,000 bonus once you've started on the programme.
  • 26 days holiday.
  • A £2,400 payment on successful completion of the programme.
  • Up to £200 per month accommodation allowance, and additional annual leave for when you move between placements plus assistance with moving personal belongings.
