About this role

We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our Low Secure Services at St Andrews Birmingham, as part of the REACH OUT partnership.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a full multi-disciplinary team and shape services further through strategic decision-making, improvement projects, and joint working
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Promote a culture of safety, recovery, and innovative therapies and treatment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care

St Andrews Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare services. We work in partnership with NHS, voluntary, educational, and research organisations to deliver a range of specialist inpatient and community mental healthcare services, education, and research that helps improve the lives of people with complex mental health needs.

The benefits

This post offers a competitive salary of £120,000 per annum, including a travel allowance, sickness policy on par with NHS, 41 days annual leave, car lease scheme, free parking, cycle to work scheme, relocation allowance subject to status, ongoing CPD, and much more.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
  • CCT in Forensic or General Adult Psychiatry
  • Experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team in a secure setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Location

The position is based in Birmingham, with access to excellent transport links and amenities.
