About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Overton School, part of Options Autism. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with complex needs, including ASC, SLD, and MLD, as well as impaired social or cognitive functioning due to early life trauma and attachment difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in the classroom and during outdoor activities, providing individualized attention and care as needed.
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education tailored to their needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, promoting a culture of mutual respect and understanding.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with complex needs.
Requirements
  • GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Math.
  • Experience working with vulnerable pupils or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and education to students with complex needs.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £20,516 per annum.
  • A 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
