Position Overview:

This role is tailored for a driven and career-oriented individual eager to showcase their capabilities and receive recognition for their contributions. We are seeking a Quality Assurance ESG Analyst to become a vital part of our accomplished ESG team. This position allows for remote work with occasional travel to the main office.

Key Responsibilities:


As a Quality Assurance ESG Analyst, you will be tasked with the development and enhancement of Quality Assurance (QA) protocols for various ESG services, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.

Your duties will include performing QA on client deliverables such as TCFD reports, ESG evaluations, SECR compliance, climate scenario analyses, and calculations for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, along with Net Zero strategies.

Additionally, you will conduct ISO 9001 internal audits and provide external assurance services to clients, including the verification of greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14064.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Staying informed about new policies and legislation related to ESG services.
  • Crafting and updating ESG procedures in alignment with regulations and best practices, such as SECR and TCFD disclosures.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement within ESG workflows and making actionable recommendations.
  • Delivering training to team members as part of ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrating strong planning, prioritization, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and meet client deadlines.
  • Managing QA services projects to balance individual and team workloads.
  • Ensuring thorough QA checks and maintaining audit trails for client deliverables to prevent errors or omissions.
  • Providing external assurance services to clients, including verification of GHG emissions in line with ISO 14064.
  • Adhering to the company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking reasonable care for personal and others' safety, and cooperating with management and colleagues to fulfill our objectives.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A degree in a STEM or Humanities discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • A keen interest in ESG, climate change, and assurance practices.
  • Proficiency in QA of client deliverables.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong writing skills for developing QA documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable:
  • Over 2 years of experience in consultancy or analytical roles, particularly in carbon or environmental management.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable energy technologies, and climate modeling.
  • Experience conducting audits, such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001.
  • Familiarity with assurance services for clients, including ISO 14064.
  • Experience in performing carbon footprint calculations (Scopes 1, 2, and 3).
  • Experience in providing training to team members.
