About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineering Manager to lead our team at one of our fully automated distribution centres. As a key member of our Property Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our site, managing a team of engineers, and maintaining the highest standards of engineering and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers to deliver, maintain, and improve the site's technical capabilities
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with statutory regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and remove bottlenecks, improve efficiencies, and optimize resource allocation
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and senior management
  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategy and direction for automation engineering
  • Work closely with senior automation peers to identify areas for investment and implement effective solutions
  • Manage budgets effectively and prioritize spending to achieve business objectives
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading large, multi-skilled engineering teams in a similar environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of automation solutions, including AMR and robotics
  • Excellent stakeholder management and budget control skills
  • Engineering degree or equivalent, with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
