About the Role

Snap Care is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join the team supporting Owen, an 18-year-old young man with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and visual impairment. This is a full-time opportunity for a professional Support Worker to provide 24/7 care and support to Owen, enabling him to live a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Owen with all aspects of his care needs, including medication, personal care, and showering
  • Assist Owen with his morning routine, including handovers with the night carer
  • Support Owen to enjoy his day, including attending hydrotherapy sessions and schoolwork
  • Monitor Owen's health and well-being, including administering and recording medications
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to Owen and his family
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with complex care needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Valid driver's license and access to a fully adapted vehicle
