About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Principal Project Manager to join our team at HDR. As a key member of our commissioning business, you will be responsible for ensuring that our engineering services systems are safely, diligently, and accurately planned, managed, executed, and recorded.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on commissioning and engineering services. They will be able to lead multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate with site project leads, and ensure that all commissioning activities are progressing as planned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of client contact
  • Lead various projects simultaneously
  • Take responsibility for project-related safety
  • Coordinate with site project leads to provide a high-level view of each project
  • Make full use of the company's quality and financial management systems
  • Regularly audit the progress of HDR deliverables
  • Ensure that the project lead and team are proactively progressing commissioning activities
  • Manage the commissioning process to ensure that systems are set to work optimally and verified as such
  • Provide consultative advice on commissioning and performance requirements
  • Coach site leads as necessary
  • Support programme management and other management duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 15 years related experience
  • A minimum 7 years project management experience
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture
