Mechanical Engineer

Apex Resourcing Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Associate Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a talented individual to take on a leadership role in the development and design of engineering project services for mechanical installations, systems, equipment, and facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for running major projects, taking a team management and leadership role, and ensuring that engineering calculations and drawings meet required industry and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and design of engineering project services for mechanical installations, systems, equipment, and facilities.
- Take a team management and leadership role in the development and design of engineering project services.
- Ensure that engineering calculations and drawings meet required industry and legal standards.
- Represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors.
- Develop and specify applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for building engineering services purposes.
- Surveys, tests, and reports on existing mechanical installations.
- Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Day-to-day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with clients.
- Ensures risk and performance monitoring analysis takes place through effective systems of internal control and delegation.
- Leads on the coordination of engineering services.
- BSc/BEng in an appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- MCIBSE/MIEE or HND/HNC + appropriate experience or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Significant experience of specification design for a range of building types.
- Sound knowledge and working application of key health and safety issues and legislation.
- Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
- Good understanding of BS standards/UK regulations/codes.
- Experience and understanding of invoicing and credit control.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
- Presentation skills.
