Electrical Systems Specialist - Solar Division

We are recruiting an Electrical Systems Specialist to join our solar division at Convertech - Double E Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and producing electrical drawings for solar panel installations, as well as conducting electrical wiring and connections for solar panels.

About the Role

This is a field-based position that requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical wiring and connections, as well as a strong understanding of solar PV electrical designs and layouts.

The salary for this role is £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension scheme, and a company van and fuel card.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and produce electrical drawings for solar panel installations
  • Conduct electrical wiring and connections for solar panels and install cabling, conduits, and related electrical equipment according to specifications
  • Ensure all installations meet industry standards and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • NVQ L3 or equivalent qualification
  • 18th Edition and 2391 qualifications
  • In-depth experience of installing solar modules and connecting DC cables via MC4 connectors
  • Experience of ground (CPC) electrical equipment and checking AC and DC wiring
  • Full understanding of solar PV electrical designs and layouts
  • IPAF training
  • Full UK driving licence
