About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to lead our Face-to-Face Membership team in Glasgow and surrounding areas. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Membership Fundraisers, providing support and guidance to ensure they meet their targets and uphold the charity's standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Membership Fundraisers, providing regular support and guidance to ensure they meet their targets and uphold the charity's standards.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to increase membership numbers and revenue.
  • Work closely with the Membership Venues Team, Employee Recruitment Advisors, and local RSPB nature reserve staff to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Recruit, select, and induct new team members, providing training and development opportunities to build their capabilities.
  • Embed and lead a positive team culture, promoting high standards, positive actions, and achievement of targets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading a team and achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confident in giving and receiving regular feedback.
  • Able to embed and lead a positive team culture.

Please note that this role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship, and the successful applicant will need to have a pre-existing Right to Work in the UK in order to be offered an employment contract.
