About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Community Support Worker to join our team at The Disabilities Trust. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to our adult residents, helping them to maintain independent living skills and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to residents, following individualized support plans to meet their needs and aspirations.
  • Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, and leisure activities.
  • Encourage and support residents to develop their skills and confidence, enabling them to live independently.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality service is delivered.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
