Job Overview

Permanent | £49,000 - £55,000 + Package

Futures is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust and secure network infrastructures across the enterprise.

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and optimizing various network technologies to ensure reliable performance and secure connectivity for users, applications, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure and scalable Routing and Switching solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Configure and maintain Enterprise Firewalls to protect the network from threats and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Set up and manage VPN technologies to support secure remote access for a distributed workforce.
  • Implement and maintain load-balancing strategies to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.
  • Manage and optimize Remote Access Solutions to ensure seamless connectivity for users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored network solutions that meet business needs.
  • Document network configurations, policies, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Routing and Switching technologies (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
  • Experience with Enterprise Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of VPN configuration and management (IPsec, SSL VPN, etc.).
  • Experience with Load Balancing solutions (F5, Citrix ADC, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Remote Access Solutions (Citrix, VPN, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Security Awareness practices and procedures.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
