VAT Director

Our client, a reputable firm of chartered accountants, is seeking a VAT Director to strengthen their indirect tax team in Surrey and the Southeast. This advisory-focused position will oversee compliance and work with a diverse range of clients across the region. The successful candidate will lead the VAT team, conduct technical research, and draft reports for clients. They will also be responsible for business development, liaising with clients, and managing team members. The role offers excellent career prospects, including future partnerships. Key responsibilities include leading advisory matters, advising on VAT-efficient structuring, and implementing partial exemption special schemes. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in VAT advice, a broad understanding of UK VAT, and a working knowledge of EU VAT requirements. They will hold a relevant qualification, such as ACA or ACCA, or be qualified by experience. The role offers a highly competitive salary, 25 days holiday, on-site parking, and a 5% matched pension.
