Join Our Team as a Formulation Chemist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Formulation Chemist to join our team at Science Solutions Recruitment Ltd. As a Formulation Chemist, you will play a key role in the development of new products and the management of projects from concept through to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new products, ensuring they meet all necessary safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and manage projects from concept through to launch, ensuring accurate documentation of project minutes and timely updates throughout.
  • Present projects to key stakeholders in the business, including the Commercial team and the Regulatory team.
  • Review project briefs, create development plans, and address requirements such as shelf life determination, production trials, and costing.
  • Work closely with the Regulatory team to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in lab activities, including production trials related to development projects.
  • Provide technical support to the Commercial team and assist the Quality Manager in addressing technical issues such as out-of-specification results.
  • Ensure all chemical ingredients meet all necessary safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Work within health and safety guidelines set by the business.
  • Support the Research and Development Manager in the development of new products.

Requirements:

  • Chemistry degree or relevant subject.
  • Ability to manage projects, ideally with some project management experience.
  • Ideal background in FMCG, Healthcare, Biocides, Cosmetics, or Detergents.
  • A proactive and confident individual capable of dealing with responsibility.
