About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEN teacher to join our team at an outstanding special needs school in West London. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students with complex needs.

As a SEN teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a tailored curriculum that meets the needs of a mixed KS1/2 class of 8 pupils. The pupils work at middle P Levels and require support from a team of experienced TAs.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for special education and a proven track record of working with children who have SEN. A basic understanding of PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, and Team Teach skills is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a tailored curriculum for a mixed KS1/2 class of 8 pupils
  • Work closely with a team of experienced TAs to provide individualised support
  • Contribute to the development of the school's special education programme

Requirements:

  • QTS
  • Experience in special education
  • Basic knowledge of PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, and Team Teach skills
