Rail Project Planner

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Rail Project Planner to join our team at Randstad Construction and Property. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and programme management, with experience in the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed programmes for rail projects
• Update and monitor progress against contract requirements
• Introduce and analyse changes to programmes
• Produce and communicate programme information in various formats
• Contribute to operational teams on collaborative planning, risk, and commercial issues
• Evaluate supply chain and subcontract programmes
• Assimilate and interpret information from tender documentation
• Resource and cost load programmes
• Review programme robustness
• Maintain awareness of latest construction techniques
• Undertake analytical assessments of programmes
• Establish and maintain internal and external project controls reporting

Candidate Requirements:

• A qualification in civil engineering to HND level
• Advanced P6 user
• Previous rail experience, across a wide range of engineering projects, with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters
• Experience and understanding of programming techniques
• A demonstrable ability to produce short and medium-term programmes
