Rail Project Planner

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Rail Project Planner to join our team at Randstad Construction and Property. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and programme management, with experience in the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed programmes for rail projects
- Update and monitor progress against contract requirements
- Introduce and analyse changes to programmes
- Produce and communicate programme information in various formats
- Contribute to operational teams on collaborative planning, risk, and commercial issues
- Evaluate supply chain and subcontract programmes
- Assimilate and interpret information from tender documentation
- Resource and cost load programmes
- Review programme robustness
- Maintain awareness of latest construction techniques
- Undertake analytical assessments of programmes
- Establish and maintain internal and external project controls reporting
Candidate Requirements:
- A qualification in civil engineering to HND level
- Advanced P6 user
- Previous rail experience, across a wide range of engineering projects, with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters
- Experience and understanding of programming techniques
- A demonstrable ability to produce short and medium-term programmes
