Job Title: Vocational Engineering Tutor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vocational Engineering Tutor to join our team in delivering excellent teaching, learning, and assessment in our Engineering Department.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with our team in creating and delivering outstanding education and training in mechanical engineering. As a Vocational Engineering Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering EAL, BTEC, and City & Guilds Engineering at Levels 1 to 3 and to our Apprentices.

You will work in our well-equipped workshops and online through our virtual learning environment, using Google Classroom. Your role will be to equip students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent teaching and complete relevant preparation and marking to support this.
  • Set SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.
  • Develop creative resources to inspire outstanding learning.
  • Monitor and track learner progress to promote positive outcomes for learners.
Requirements
  • Experience of employment in a mechanical engineering company and practical experience in industry covering welding, machining - manual and/or CNC.
  • Hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, as well as a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to work towards them.
  • Hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths or be willing to work towards it.
