Role Overview

As a skilled Automation Equipment Maintenance Specialist at Frasers Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the uptime and availability of our installed automated equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of all onsite automated equipment, as well as responding to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly skilled in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, with a strong understanding of control systems and techniques.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be required to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and mentor junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities


  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of all onsite automated equipment.
  • Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Prioritise system faults and optimise uptime and availability of onsite automated equipment.
  • Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
  • Comply with health and safety legislation as a priority focus.
  • Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing of upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ensure optimum levels of onsite spare parts are maintained.
  • Support site meetings as required.
  • Mentor, train, and advise junior members of the team.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:


  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience of working with automated material handling systems.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Capable of understanding Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
  • Proven competence in H&S.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a time-critical environment.
  • Effective time and workload management skills.
  • PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
