Head of Treasury Risk Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Treasury Risk to join our team at Starling Bank. As a key member of our 2nd line risk function, you will be responsible for overseeing and challenging market risk, predominantly interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB), as well as FX and credit spread risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish strong relationships with the Treasurer and provide effective oversight and challenge of market risk.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive market risk framework, including stress testing and key assumptions.
- Manage and mitigate operational risks stemming from the treasury function.
- Collaborate with the Head of Liquidity Risk and Wholesale Credit to take a holistic view of risks across the treasury function.
Requirements:
- Considerable experience in treasury risk management in a bank, consultancy, or regulatory environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for a treasury function, including risk and compliance.
- Experience with structural hedging and hedge accounting.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
