An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Operations Director to join our dynamic Hospitality Group in the West Midlands.

This rewarding role will give you the chance to represent the company, utilizing your experience, knowledge, and skills to drive positive change across all four sites.

Hospitality Operations Director Job Highlights:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify areas for potential profitable business growth and develop strategic plans to ensure the business remains competitive, efficient, and profitable.
  • Manage, recruit, mentor, and develop a motivated and engaged senior management team, ensuring they are trained to deliver high-quality service to customers.
  • Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders, including the Owner, Finance Director, Executive Chef, Area Operations Manager, and site managers, to review operational functions and ensure the day-to-day operations of the business are being managed effectively.
  • Oversee your team to ensure clear procedures are in place, with a consistent standard of operations embedded across all venues.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director to oversee the day-to-day financial management of the business.
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Be the main point of contact for stakeholders and maintain positive relationships.
  • Evaluate overall company performance across all venues and provide regular updates to the owner using a dashboard based on agreed business KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Available for weekend work for the first three months of employment to gain a better understanding of the business.
  • Experience in a similar management role, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge in the area of marketing and sales.
  • A strong financial background with experience in strategic planning, forecasting, and managing finances, as well as developing, monitoring, and analyzing budgets and financial reports.
  • Excellent operational understanding of Environmental Health and Food Safety standards.
  • Expertise in managing vendor and partner relationships, contracts, agreements, and the procurement process.
  • Knowledge of the industries' legal rules, guidelines, and diverse business principles and functions.
  • Demonstrate initiative and have the ability to drive the business forward both operationally and financially to achieve targets.
