At Schroders, we are seeking an experienced Investment Solutions Strategist to join our Insurance Solutions team. This exciting role requires a candidate with 3-7 years' experience in insurance asset management, finance, and quantitative analysis.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can work cooperatively with other teams on concurrent projects, leveraging their technical skills and knowledge of investment processes to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to understand their investment requirements and design innovative solutions that solve complex challenges.
  • Work closely with investment desks to tailor investment processes to meet client-specific needs, considering accounting, actuarial, and regulatory considerations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrable coding skills, with proficiency in Matlab, R, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
  • Familiarity with asset liability management and portfolio selection.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects concurrently.
Desirable Qualifications

The following qualifications would be highly beneficial:

  • Understanding of Solvency II and UK regulatory frameworks, with a focus on their impact on insurance asset management.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages besides English.
  • Actuarial qualifications are highly desirable but not essential.
