We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead to join our Guidance, Control, and Navigation team at Henderson Scott. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of advanced algorithms for next-generation weapon systems, contributing to all stages of the product life cycle.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Stevenage algorithm development team and shape its technical direction.
  • Develop and maintain onboard algorithms for guidance, control, and navigation systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Simulation, Image Processing, and Systems Design.
  • Act as the key point of contact for partners and customers on algorithm-related activities.
  • Explore innovative technologies and their applications in complex systems.

**Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative and inspiring approach.
  • Experience in algorithm development and associated tools.
  • Background in a subject with mathematical content (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science).
  • Knowledge of domains such as Guidance, Navigation, Control Systems, or Autonomous Systems is advantageous.
  • A degree qualification or equivalent experience; post-doctoral or industrial experience is beneficial.
