About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Longdon Hall School.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about maintaining school sites and properties. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our educational and residential areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out porterage and handyperson duties, including moving goods and furniture, painting, and minor repairs to property, fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
  • Assist in completing routine maintenance tasks and logging necessary information.
  • Liaise with external contractors to ensure timely and safe completion of projects beyond general maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain grounds, ensuring they remain tidy and safe for students and staff.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
