About the Role

We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Pharmacy Expert, you will play a key role in improving the safe and effective use of medicines across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Medicines and Pharmacy Team in developing and implementing national advice and operational guidance on the use of medicines in Health and Justice Pharmacy and Independent Healthcare settings.
  • Collaborate with key partners to address inequalities, reduce clinical variation, and promote shared learning and a 'Once for Scotland' approach.
  • Lead the development of robust and consistent methods and processes to support the delivery of the programmes.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to achieve key deliverables and contribute to a multidisciplinary environment.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary environment with clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Knowledge of medicines legislation and NHS Scotland medicines governance policy and processes.
  • Ability to lead a team, influence, and work collaboratively across organisational boundaries.
