Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Global Marine & Navy Fire Team, based in Basildon. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing Fixed Fire Protection projects for military vessels across the world.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Interpretation: Interpret clients' technical specifications and commercial documentation.
  2. Project Coordination: Organize and manage deliverable packages and consult with the design manager to request resources based on contract requirements.
  3. Supplier Management: Obtain quotes, procure equipment, and manage logistics, including the generation of shipping documentation.
  4. Client Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for the customer, consulting directly on project needs and updates.
  5. Project Management: Oversee project plans using MS Project, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  6. Financial Oversight: Develop progress and financial reports, including revenue and billing forecasts, contract cost control, and attend internal review meetings.

Requirements

  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing complex projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to consult with clients and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Technical Understanding: Experience in interpreting technical specifications.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Driver's License: Full UK driving license required.
  • Security Clearance: SC UK MOD Security Clearance required (screening provided by JCI).
