About the Role
The Aurora Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Meldreth Manor, a specialist education and care facility for children and young people with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs, promoting their confidence, independence, and overall well-being.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, socialization, and therapy sessions, such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
- Communicate effectively with children, young people, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Willingness to undergo training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
