  • Offline Programming: Utilize EDGECAM for offline programming to enhance machining efficiency and precision, and to reduce production time.
  • Machine Setup & Production: Set up machines, produce first-off components, and ensure all specifications and tolerances are met, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Documentation: Create detailed machine setup documentation for consistency and future use, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded.
  • Process Improvement: Stay informed about cutting-edge technology and suggest new processes to improve machining practices, contributing to the development of best practices within the team.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with management to meet production deadlines and address potential issues proactively, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to colleagues as needed, supporting the development of technical solutions to production issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Engineering and Quality teams to uphold high-quality standards and ensure compliance with procedures, maintaining a culture of excellence within the organization.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety procedures and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Team Support: Support and mentor team members as needed, contributing to the development of a positive and productive team culture.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment, and report any incidents or near-misses to the relevant authorities.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the team and the organization as a whole.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Extensive experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating, preferably in aerospace.
    • Proficiency with CAD/CAM offline programming using EDGECAM.
    • Experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.
    • Ability to edit programs with Fanuc and Sinumerik controls.
    • Competence in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools.
    • Familiarity with Metric and Imperial measurements.
    • Strong computer skills and methodical work approach.
