Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Supermarket Assistant at John Lewis & Partners. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive and engaging shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including food and beverage products, to make recommendations and answer customer questions
  • Contribute to a positive and engaging shopping experience by maintaining a clean and organized store environment, restocking shelves, and performing other tasks as needed
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet customer needs

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage products, with a willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes, and weekend working
