About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Renishaw. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the full development life cycle of the control and monitoring software for our Additive Manufacturing (AM) 3D printer.

You will work closely with our cross-discipline engineering team to design, develop, and maintain software components that meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise in Agile development, DevOps practices, and Test-Driven Development will be essential in driving continuous improvement and innovation in our software projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain software components that meet the highest quality standards
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-discipline engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in software projects through Agile development, DevOps practices, and Test-Driven Development
  • Mentor and support junior team members to foster their growth and development
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant STEM degree
  • Experience in a similar Senior Software Engineering role, working on challenging and innovative engineering products
  • Experience of developing performance-critical components in C++ and other relevant languages
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented programming and SOLID design principles
  • Experience with Agile development, DevOps practices, and Test-Driven Development
