About the Role

TQR seeks an Industrial Process Engineer to work at our Plymouth based site. As part of the Process Engineering Team, you will play a key role in addressing and resolving technical challenges within our production areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Offer technical guidance and support to colleagues in resolving intricate machine-related issues.
  • Serve as an equipment expert, providing guidance and sharing knowledge with team members.
  • Mentor colleagues, enhancing their skills in fault diagnosis and technology application.
  • Effectively utilise technology, including PCs, HMI screens, and MES, to diagnose faults and manage equipment.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing equipment, prioritising cost reductions, productivity, quality, and health & safety.
  • Support Project and Process Groups during new equipment installation and start-up, contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Lead small process improvement projects, coordinating relevant skills like Toolroom, Quality, and Validation.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of an ONC or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in high-speed, automated / high-volume assembly / manufacturing.
  • Exceptional engineering aptitude, with the capacity to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a collaborative attitude and patience when interacting with colleagues.

Working Arrangements:
This role involves working a continual 3 on 3 off day shift or 3 on 3 off night shift pattern, with shifts ranging from 11:00 to 23:00 for days and 23:00 to 11:00 for nights.
