Pressure Systems Engineer

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Pressure Systems Engineer to join our team at Tarmac. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of pressure systems equipment and supporting regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Written Schemes of Examination, assess equipment condition, and report the outcome to the business area to comply with legal requirements and business goals.
- Recommend repairs and advise the Engineering Manager on the restoration of "fit for purpose" condition, accept repairs, and assign inspection intervals to achieve legal compliance and business goals.
- Provide guidance on the practical application of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) to inspection engineers, plant managers, and asset engineers.
- Own and lead the implementation of a Risk-Based Assessment program for pressure systems equipment, ensuring compliance.
- Provide pressure systems technical input in support of projects and plant modifications to deliver legal compliance and business integrity requirements.
- Ensure management of change practices are followed for all modifications, upgrades, or project work to pressure-related systems on site.
- Conduct routine maintenance and updates to systems, collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve system performance.
- Have a proven track record of successful people management, management of engineering operations, delivering large-scale CAPEX projects, and managing large budgets.
- Promote the maintenance management system, ensuring the application of maintenance procedures, methods, and best practices.
- Assist the Engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts.
- Develop and improve the knowledge and skills of engineers, fitters, and apprentices by providing training and support on Pressure systems and functionalities.
- Involvement with maintaining Health and Safety rules and regulations and ensure all Safe Systems of Work are signed off and complied with, leading towards a target of zero harm for personnel and contractors.
- Continuous review of plant availability and performance, identifying gaps, root causes, and subsequent improvement activity.
About You
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Pressure Systems Engineer who has a strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment combined with heavy industrial plant experience. You will have a proven track record of successful people management, management of engineering operations, delivering large-scale CAPEX projects, and managing large budgets.
