About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Google Inc. in a data center environment. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various data center systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control data center systems, including power distribution, cooling, and fire suppression.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot system malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of data center systems.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce downtime.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a data center or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and fire suppression.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
