Paediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join our team at a highly reputable walk-in centre in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and their families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of physical and psycho-social needs of children
  • Assess, examine, diagnose, and treat patients within an agreed scope of practice
  • Lead, motivate, and support team members in the facilitation of professional and clinical development
  • Provide patients, carers, and families with evidence-based diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Undertake minor injury procedures, including wound closure and assessment of post-operative wounds
Requirements:
  • Registered Paediatric Nurse with current NMC registration and no restrictions
  • MSc in Advanced Assessment or equivalent
  • Full eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • At least 2 years' experience working autonomously in an emergency or unscheduled care setting
  • Competent in physical examination of patients from 0-16 years
  • Independent Prescriber (or on pathway to complete) highly desirable
  • Qualification in teaching or practice-based learning
  • Previous leadership skills highly desirable
