Job DescriptionThis is a flexible, part-time role (24 months) that requires collaboration with clinical and non-clinical staff to inform and influence decisions on services. As a Patient Safety Advocate, you will become a member of various committees, work with project teams, consult on policy, and support learning to provide a unique perspective enriching patient experiences.
- Attend and contribute to quality and performance committees, patient experience committees, patients with additional support needs, and quality improvement oversight committees.
- Support 15-step service assessments ensuring patient voices are fairly considered.
- Act as an advisor or critical friend to the hospital in developing and delivering patient safety and patient experience policies and strategies.
- Network and interact with other patient safety advocates across the private and public sector.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- The ability to provide a patient, carer, or lay perspective and invite, canvas, and put forward views on behalf of the wider community or groups of patients.
- A genuine passion for patient safety and a strong commitment to actively participating in initiatives to improve quality of patient care.
The estimated salary for this role is around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
