Job Title: Booking Clerk Assistant Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Booking Clerk Assistant Professional. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a busy hospital environment.

About the Role:

This role involves providing reception services, booking appointments, and maintaining accurate records. As a Booking Clerk Assistant Professional, you will work towards achieving the full job description outlined within this document. A comprehensive training program will be undertaken during the first 12-15 months, which includes an accredited Business Administration Apprenticeship at Level 3, plus in-house training.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide reception services to relevant areas in a professional, understanding, and courteous manner.
  • Provide a customer-focused booking service, ensuring all data relating to patients is captured in a timely and accurate manner.
  • FOLLOW AGREED PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS SUCH AS THE ELECTIVE ACCESS POLICY (EAP) AND STANDARD TRUST ADMINISTRATION GUIDELINES (STAGS).

Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

Person Specification:
  • Must be resident within the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Right to work within the UK (sponsorship is not available with this post).
Qualifications:
  • TYPING AND OR WORD/TEXT PROCESSING SKILLS.
  • GCSE English Grade C / Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
Previous Experience:
  • Experience of customer care OR
  • Experience of working in an office environment.
Skills:
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £23,615 per annum. You will also receive a range of benefits including flexible working, annual leave, and access to a generous pension scheme.

Please note that we do not accept CVs. No DBS fees to pay: Successful candidates will have DBS applications applied for & paid by ULTH where applicable.

Payscale Range: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
