Job Overview

Livewell Southwest is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Crisis Response Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in their homes, avoiding hospital admissions. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate therapist to develop their skills in holistic assessment and intervention.

About the Role

We are looking for an autonomous practitioner with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate clinical experience. You will have experience of managing a caseload, teaching, and rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will be able to work across a broad range of clinical areas and presentations, including acute hospital, care of the elderly, respiratory, neurology, and orthopaedics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritise the day-to-day management of own caseload and that of the team, delegating activities as appropriate.
  • Assess, prescribe, and authorise aids and adaptive equipment from the core catalogue.
  • Provide education and training to patients and carers on the impact of cognitive, perceptual, and physical deficits on patient safety and independence.
  • Develop and implement treatment programmes in close liaison with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Autonomous practitioner with experience of managing a caseload.
  • Experience of teaching and rehabilitation.
  • Ability to work across a broad range of clinical areas and presentations.

Benefits

Livewell Southwest offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
