About the Role

The Sponsorship Specialist will be responsible for building effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and Network Rail to deliver project benefits within agreed scope, time, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review and interrogate client remits to confirm their viability and work with internal and external stakeholders to establish a scope that optimises client requirements, value for money, network availability, and capacity for future development and whole life cost.
  2. Be responsible for the conversion of the client remit into an agreed project requirements specification and develop the initial project plan and budget.
  3. Produce business cases and investment papers for projects and devise solutions that maintain the 'business as usual' accessibility for customers.
  4. Lead the process of quantifying risk associated with the project and devise mitigating actions.
  5. Negotiate with customers and stakeholders on the project's commercial and contractual terms in accordance with relevant corporate policy and strategy.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and Network Rail.

They will also have a strong understanding of project management principles and be able to develop and manage project plans and budgets.

In addition, they will have the ability to produce high-quality business cases and investment papers and to negotiate with customers and stakeholders on commercial and contractual terms.
