At University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust, we are passionate about providing exceptional care to our patients and their families. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Midwife to join our Maternity Services team.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Midwife who is enthusiastic about providing high-quality care to women and their families. As a Midwife in our team, you will be responsible for promoting a woman-centered service, working autonomously to attend women during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.

Key Responsibilities

You will engage with women and their families to encourage and promote woman-centered care, normalizing their experience as much as possible. You will also work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, other agencies, and user representatives to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • Registered Midwife on the relevant part of the NMC Register
  • Physical Examination of the Newborn (NIPE) qualification
  • Diploma or degree in midwifery
  • Completion of preceptorship
  • Competent clinical skills and knowledge across all areas of midwifery practice
