Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity

Astute People is partnering with a leading Power Company to recruit an Electrical Engineer for a traveling role around their UK sites, to be based in London or Kent.

The Electrical Engineer role comes with a competitive salary of up to £75k plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes 12% pension, private medical, and a car for business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own scope of work, including working on Electrical equipment such as High Voltage switchgear, generators, transformers, rotating plant motors, and other electrical systems.
  • Execute site electrical projects safely and within budget, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize plant efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Identify areas of improvement across the plant to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure maintenance plans and targets for the team are achieved safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Direct and supervise on-site contractors to ensure projects are completed to the required standard.
Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in Electrical maintenance or engineering in a heavy process environment.
  • A Safety qualification such as IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent.
Personal Skills
  • Able to work alone as well as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
